Colter Wall is the husky voice of the Canadian Cowboy. His stories are as cut-throat as that ole’ Saskatchewan farmland and his voice is ice cold as it melts in your ears. This guy’s got hundreds of years of history seeping through his songs and the best part is, he’s only 23. This is one you do not want to miss.

Well, we never thought we’d see the day that this Calgarian Halloween staple would ever end. But alas, this year is the final year of the hauntings of ScreamFest. Packed with the usual terrifying zombies, creepy clowns and grim reapers, a stroll through those haunted houses is anything but quiet. Even if it’s just to say farewell, definitely checkout ScreamFests last frightening hurrah.
When: Every weekend in October
Where: Butterfield Acres
The Harvest Pumpkin Hunt at Butterfield Acres is the perfect outing to explore with the family. With a tractor wagon ride through the farm, the hunt for your favourite pumpkin begins. After you’ve found the best one, you get to decorate it and visit with the animals. This is a great tradition to share with your loved ones.
When: October 27-28, starts at 7 p.m
Where: The Globe Cinema
The Calgary Underground Film Fest is putting on all-nighter horror movie marathon and you are invited. It begins at 7 p.m and ends at 7 a.m the next morning with a free breakfast for anyone who can make it all the way through the night. There is a costume contest at midnight, prizes throughout the night, and the bar is open until 2 a.m. The best thing about this is you can stay for the whole marathon or you can just drop in and out when you feel like it. It’s guaranteed you will scream, laugh and have a frighteningly good time.
Enjoy the activities,
